Boil the milk, remove the malai, after sometime. that gets deposited on the surface of the milk. Can reboil it and do the same thing again.. This is a better way of ‘skimming’ the milk instead of using packaged ‘skimmed’ milk. At least the goodness of the milk is saved this way :) )

The Good About Chambor Dazzle Eye Liner Pencils

● It claims to contain no animal ingredients.
● It is creamy and glides on smoothly without tugging on my skin
●The pigmentation is out-of-this-world! I was lazily walking around at a mall looking for the Lakme Purple Nine to Five Retractable eye pencil when the Chambor Purple Eye Pencil caught my eye. So I, in fact, made the Chambor SA swatch the Chambor Purple along with the Lakme Purple on the back of my hand and the latter looked absolutely pale and cheap next to the former. I know there are many of us out there who would want to wear a retractable Purple eye pencil with silver freckles but because of dark eyelids the Lakme pencil doesn’t work for us (even with concealer). Buy the Chambor Purple because it will give you colour at least 5 times deeper than the Lakme one that too in one swipe flat without concealor.
●Though Teal is a little bright with a glossy finish, I find Purple to be a very versatile shade with shimmer finish. It can easily be used in lieu of black for day wear and can be worn to work.  The purple in the Dazzle Purple liner is visible only in direct daylight or just below a striking white tubelight. Even if someone is standing right next to you he can never exactly make out if you are wearing a blue, black, grey or purple eyeliner :p
● I have never used it on my waterline so cannot stay if it stings there or not but it can definitely be used on the lower lash line without causing any irritation, powdery fallout or stinging.
● The colour never transfers to the area beneath my eyebrows as a result of blinking. This happens very often with my Lakme Nine to Five eye pencils so I have to prime my eyes before I use them. Chambor eye pencils can be applied straightaway.
●It claims to be Non – Comodogenic, Dermatologist Tested, Opthalmologist Tested.
● It has good staying power of about 8-10 hours during which you can easily wash your face with water or splash water into your eyes and this liner still stays put. Only be careful not to rub your eyes when wet else it will smudge.
● One can easily create a smokey eye effect by smudging it within 5-10 seconds of application.
● The longest that I have worn it was for 15 hours on a journey. It did not crease at all! Though beyond 12 hours it did start to fade but that too very evenly thus bringing out the Purple shade even more.
●Easy to carry
● I adore the flowers that adorn the packaging of the pencil :p

The Bad About Chambor Dazzle Eye Liner Pencils

● I simply do not understand the concept of a one-way retractable pencil. Those new to retractable pencils it means that even though you can rotate and move the pencil outwards from its case, you absolutely cannot move it back in after use! Chambor believes that this makes their pencils more hygienic compared to other retractable eye pencils from other brands which swivel up and down. They say that you will swivel down and use only that much quantity of the product as is required while the rest of the pencil remains safe inside the case. But actually each time you apply this pencil a tiny bit of the lead will always remain outside.  This tiny bit will get used up in your second application alongwith some fresh lead. Then again a tiny bit will be left outside and the cycle continues!
● A one way swivel pencil also means you will never know when it has got over or reached the verge of extinction! Only one fine morning when you have lined one eye, you will realise that there is nothing left inside the pencil to line your second eye! :p
● I never hear the ‘click’ of the cap while closing. This could either be because a bit of the lead is always left outside and hence it never does close fully or because the encasing is noise proof:p Whatever the case be, I am always left wondering if I closed it properly or not.

Tips to organize a closet

My all the shopaholic girls  If u living in a city like Delhi Im sure the space u have is not enough to organize your wardrobe because every time  u go to a mall eventually u tend to buy clothes  shoes bags, etc. so this article is all about how to organize your closet

With that said, I have gotten fairly creative at cramming a decent amount of clothes into a fairly tiny closet with a tidge of organization. Here are my tips:
Color coordinated closets look beautiful, but they have never functioned well for me. Instead I organize by item.
Coats go on the top rack in the far corner (If you have a coat closet, lucky you, and ignore this.)
I also hang skirts and pants on the top rack because they are shorter and won’t hang over the bottom bar. Pleated and easily wrinkled skirts get proper “skirt” hangers, and the others are hung folded, two per hanger (double hanging is crucial for a small closet!)
On the bottom bar I hang dresses followed by shirts. In the corner I hide the two jackets I reach for on chilly spring nights. Finally it’s important to keep the pieces you most often reach for within easy reach. For me this means keeping work appropriate dresses and shirts on the bottom bar.
As far as the always difficult to store shoes- I keep my nicer shoes on a shoe rack in the bottom of my closet, and boots on the shelf in between bars (stuffed full of magazines to keep their shape!) Sandals and flats are kept in a shoe rack on the back of the bedroom door.
I’m always looking to improve this system so do tell, how do your organize clothes in a small space?

Benefits of Having Lemon Juice

Benefits of Having Lemon Juice

Benefits of Having Lemon Juice

Hi everybody,
If I describe lemon, it is neither very warm nor very cold in character. It ignites the digestive fire (agni) and fights pitta and vatta doshas. It purifies blood and liver components and is very beneficial in stomach diseases. Lemons also harbour a lot of vitamin C which in turn is beneficial to build strong immunity.
I have heard regular intake of lime water, even for a few days purifies blood and hence there is better flow in the vessels and we feel more energetic.
The so called modern eating habits, the pulsating fast lives, dust swept roads and the ever increasing pollution cause increased production of acids in our body which have a devastating effect and which cause degenerative diseases. So we will have to keep taking such purifying and naturally nutritive additives in our daily diet to counteract them.
Though lemon seems to be acidic owing to the sour taste it has but it actually counteracts the acid produced in our body. I have told this earlier too- having I lemon and 25 tulsi leaves in a glass of warm water 3-4 times in a week protects us from the toxic fluids and unwanted bacteria that collect in our bodies over time.
Some remedies with lemon juice:
Benefits of Having Lemon Juice
• In acidity:
Add crystal sugar (pure mishri) and rock salt in lime water and have it.
• Stomach problems:
This one also I have stated earlier- have a mixture of lime juice, ginger and rock salt before meals. This leads to better digestion, eases in stomach ache, flatulence etc.
• In increased uric acid:
After 40 years of age having heavy pulses like kidney beans (rajma), black gram (urad) or cheese or similar protein rich food tend to cause vatta doshas and increased uric acid which causes pain in joints and mainly ankle. Having lemon juice in water empty stomach in the morning eases this problem. Adding a few drops of ginger juice in this mixture is even more beneficial.
• Some people complain of a burning sensation during urination. Having lime and mishri in water leads to betterment in this problem.
• You know lime water is also beneficial in fighting oral bacteria. After meals, rinsing your mouth with lime water instead of normal water will fight bad breath.
• Also, there is a disease called scurvy which occurs due to vitamin C deficiency. Symptoms of scurvy include bleeding gums and teeth losing their firmness. Intake of lime water for a few days and rinsing the mouth with 1 lime juice mixed in approximately 1 small bowl water helps in betterment of this problem. Also, you can softly rub the lemon peel over your gums.
• I have heard lemon juice also helps in fighting the micro-organisms causing cholera disease.
For me, lemon is a staple food item already. It is your time to include it in your daily food/drink habits.
Until next time, take care!

20 Favourite Looks from Delhi Couture Week 2013

Couture weeks bring out the best of designers every season. Designers go all out with their creativity and craftsmanship to show their couture work. I have been obsessing over the gorgeous PCJ Delhi Couture Week 2013 photographs. Indian Designers are just amazingly creative.  Sharing some of my favourites from the sheer genius that the designers displayed in the recently concluded couture week.
My clear favourites were Anamika Khanna and Sabyasachi.
Enjoy the photos. :)
Anamika Khanna : Every piece showcased in Anamika’s show was beyond spectacular. The beautiful chikankari, the way sarees were draped, the maang-tika, the capes, the color contrasts… I could really go on and on and on.  I would love to own every single piece that Anamika Khanna showcased, especially. *wishlist* ;) She is a designer par excellence.

5. Anju Modi’s collection was a favourite because of its gorgeous layers in legengas, the stunning jackets, the beautiful- modern style of dupatta drapes, and the rich hues. The collection was inspired by Draupadi. Very classic. Very Indian.

Manish Arora : With Manish Arora, you either love him or you don’t. I belong to the former category. I think Manish Arora represents the set of people who are not scared to experiment and stand out. The stunning play of striking colors, digital prints, and modern take on bridal were all a part of this bridal couture. Not many brides would want to go this path but those who will leave their guests with some beautiful colorful memories . :)

Ritu Beri’s collection was her take on Punjabi Rock and Roll. Very flamboyant. It was probably not something that I personally liked too much. It was too heavy and OTT for my taste. This particular look was only one that I liked.
16. ritu-beri-couture-2013Sabyasachi’s collection was a bride’s dream come true.  The breathtakingly beautiful lehengas, sarees, gown, nehru jackets in gold , and white painted the dream picture. I love how every piece of Sabyasachi has that old world charm that only gets better with every collection he presents.
